Here is my poem: So Many Kinds of
Music
There are so many
kinds of music,
the melancholy kind
touches people's heart,
silences the world,
leaves only sorrow and a stream of tears.
There are so many
kinds of music,
the delightful kind
fills the family with laughter,
illuminates the world
with sunshine, sung by the carefree wanderer.
There are so many
kinds of music,
the dignified kind
rings from the churches,
tranquilizes the
world with its holy voice, unites all souls into one.
There are so many
kinds of music,
the exciting kind
ignites the crowd with explosive sounds,
sets the world on
burning fire, the people dance and shout with the beat.
One will always get
bored if one only listens to one kind of music,
the existence of
happiness, sadness, excitement, solemnity and many more,
is
what makes music so precious and meaningful.
First of all, I went to the community center, Old Barn, to share my poem.
By sharing my poem in the community center, the entire neighborhood will get a chance to read my poem.
Afterwards I decided to spread my poem in my apartment.
I not only post my poem on the community bulletin board, but also I attached it on my neighbors doors. By doing this, people in my apartment building will read my poem.
Then I didn't forget to stick my poem on to some pillars on the street and in metro town.
After all these methods are used, I began to think how can I really get more audience.
Since my poem is about the beauty of music, I decided to visit some music schools and shops.
My first stop is Prussin Music:
Prussin Music is a resourceful music shop located on the Broadway. This store has served Vancouver music lovers for thirty years.

I made the friendly staff read my poem and asked to posted it in the store.
Because people who visit this store are all passionate music lovers, it is more likely for them to read my poem.. It is also right next to the service counter so people will read it while they are waiting for the staffs.
Lastly, I visited the Mozart School of music which is located in the Westbrook Mall.

There I showed the owner my poem, and I asked her to post my poem on the program list for the upcoming concerts, she agreed.
It is a list of all the performers in the concert and the songs they are playing, with my poem at the back. So the audience can look at it during the performance.
The owner also told me she will but the poem on the website but I cannot find it on there.
Overall, it was a tough but delightful experience. By sharing my poem I let the world hear my voice and let people understand my feeling. I learned a lot from this poetry project.
